VOTW: Cummins Repower Garage
It falls into the category of I lust after things I cannot have, and a diesel SUV for the states was something I have long lusted after. I have been fortunate to have driven diesel-powered Toyotas overseas (New Zealand and Costa Rica) I have longed for a diesel-powered vehicle of my own. Both 2016 the Fortuner and 2016 Prado were equipped with Toyota's own version of the 2.8L inline four-cylinder engine.
I probably uttered something like, "This is f#cking brilliant!" when I saw the news that Cummins was introducing a crate version of their popular 2.8L inline four-banger. Finally, an easy way to convert some of our favorite SUVs and pickups into a diesel. For as much as I love the 3.4L V6 in our 4Runner, something like this would be killer!
