Our Thoughts:
I will be the first to admit the 4Runner is a small platform for two adults, and a 65lb dog, to travel in. The limited interior space makes it is tough to keep all of our travel gear organized, and still accessible, on our trips. While we pack most of our gear in plastic cases and duffel bags, there are certain items we like to keep accessible by the driver/passenger. Traditionally we would toss binoculars under the seat, our GPS units on the dash, and fill the center console with charging cables and adapters. While this had worked fine over the years, it was easy to misplace items as they shifted around over corrugated roads. Access was also limited and many times we would be forced to pull over to the side of the road and get out of the vehicle to reach items under the seats.
Struggling from a similar problem, Matt over at Blue Ridge Overland Gear decided to create a MOLLE webbing seat-back panel to help travelers organize their gear. The panel is made from 500D Cordura fabric, with a plastic insert for rigidity, and attaches to any front seat with two nylon webbing straps. We have come to expect high quality from Blue Ridge products and the construction of the panel is on par with these expectations. We are using Blue Ridge's Small GP MOLLE Pouch to store our Bushnell 10x 25mm binoculars. The pouch is located on the upper left side of the panel, allowing easy access by the driver.
Conclusion:
The MOLLE Seat-Back Panel has been a great tool for organizing the gear in our 4Runner. I cannot say enough about the Blue Ridge Overland Gear products, they are made in the US by a company who's attention to detail isn't seen in mass-produced products. We would recommend the MOLLE Seat-Back Panel to anyone looking for a way to organize their travel gear and still keep it accessible to both the driver and passenger. We like the design so much, and want to support a great US small business, we will be purchasing an additional panel and more pouches.

The belt clip on our Light My Fire Swedish FireKnife fits perfectly into the webbing, with the sheath tip sliding into a lower webbing. We also found the panel to be the perfect place to store our DeLorme inReach. We use the inReach while paired with our smartphone, so it is perfectly suited to sit behind the passenger, and the location is close enough to the side window to receive clear satellite signals.
